Playa de San Juan

This is the biggest and most famous beach in Alicante. Open the whole year, it is one of the favourite place both for Alicantinos and tourists.

In San Juan beach you can enjoy a wide offer of services: playgrounds for the smallest ones, sport facilities (football, volleyball and basketball), sunbeds, restaurants by the sea and areas for disabled people.

Playa de Saladares-Urbanova

The promenade is also so charming and in the south corner you will find an area for nudism.

Playa de la Albufereta

La albufereta is an open beach located in a residencial area with same name. This beach is ideal for a family day. It is small and cosy and with a very easy access.

Children will enjoy several playgrounds on the sand. You will find some interesting tapas restaurants in the surroundings such as Sento and Lucentum.

You can come here by car or tram, there is a stop (Isleta) just 100m away.

Playa de Almadraba

This little spot is ideal for copules. You can have a nice meal and enjoy one of the most beautiful dusks in the Mediterranean.

La Almadraba is a rocky beach and is located between La Albufereta and Cabo de las Huertas. It is next to the Club Nautico where you can have a delicious fish paella just in front of the sea.

The best way to reach this beach is on foot from La Albufera or El Cabo de las Huertas.

Cabo de las Huertas

Here you will find crystalline Waters. This is a group of small rocky calas (small bays) far from the crowd. You can practice nudism in some of these calas.

This is also a good place for snorkelling. The sea bottom hides a beautiful flora and fauna.

Isla de Tabarca

Among the best beaches in Alicante, you can not miss this trip to the Tabarca island. It is the biggest inhabited island in the Comunidad Valenciana.

The best way to reach this island is by boat. There is a boar (kontiki) leaving from Alicante port everyday in the summer. The journey takes 45 minutes.

The main attractives of this island are their beautiful old streets, the sea bottom for snorkelling and a typical fishermen meal (El Caldero).

You will find a bigger beach in the centre of the island and also some remote and more relaxed calas on the corners.

You can not leave the island without tasting el Caldero: it is a fish paella divided in 2 dishes; first you will have the fish used to cook the rice and after that you will have the rice. Do not forget to spread some all i oli (a delicious garlic sauce) over your rice.

In tabarca you will also enjoy an amazing sunset experience.
